The NEU Distance Education is now on the initial phase of employing ASEAN Integration in its curriculum for Academic Year 2015-2016.
Last January 23, 2015, a meeting was held between Distance Education Director, Bro. Gabby G. Malonzo and one of the NEU-VEM Professorial Support in Basic Education based in Hong Kong, Sis. Jeanne Orcino to talk about the said project.
By implementing ASEAN Integration in the Curriculum, the NEU is in effect adopting common curriculum which is responsive to the needs of learners in the ASEAN region. Through this, NEU Distance Education students in both Basic and Higher Education can easily respond to the demands or work qualifications of companies here and abroad, particularly in the South East Asia.
Sis. Orcino is a Post Graduate Degree holder in Early Childhood Education and formerly worked as a Teacher and Curriculum Coordinator at Norwegian International School in Hong Kong.
