The University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU), in collaboration with the commission on Higher Education (CHED) and the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), will hold the 4th National Conference on Open and Distance eLearning (4thNCODeL) on November 5-6, 2015 at the Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria.
This year’s theme will be “Philippine Education Revolution through Open and Distance e-Learning.” The event will be participated by Open and Distance eLearning Schools and Universities, including the New Era University.
Bro. Gabby G. Malonzo, Ph. D., Director of Distance Education of New Era University, was also invited to be a discussant in one of its Plenary which is about ODeL Frameworks and Models.
This two-day conference aims to provide participants – i.e. administrators and academics, teachers and researchers from higher education institutions (HEls) and technical and vocational institutes (TVIs) – with a better understanding of the concepts, principles and methodologies of open learning, distance education, and technology-supported learning, in line with the recent signing, into law of Republic Act 10650 or the Open and Distance Learning Act of the Philippines.
