CERTIFICATE FOR PROFESSIONAL TEACHING (CPT)

FOR NON-EDUCATION GRADUATE DEGREE PROGRAM

Certificate for Professional Teaching (CPT) program is for individuals who have finished any four-year non-education degree course who want to pursue Master’s Degree in Education or who aim to have personal professional development and continuing education. CPT is the NEU Distance Education Pre-Master’s Degree Units requirement under its CHED-approved and recognized Master of Arts in Education Major in Educational Management course. Hence, those who avail the program are students under MAEd Major in Educational Management program.

NEU Distance Education Pre-MAEd units program is named Certificate for Professional Teaching (CPT) for enrollees who wish to take Education Units as one of the requirements for the Licensure Exam.

Those who avail the program shall take maximum of 9 units of Education per semester for two semesters. Upon completion of 18 Education units, they are ready to meet the requirements of the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) Professional Educational Units (PEU) to take the Licensure Exam for Teachers (LET). Afterwards, a separate Certificate of Completion and Official Transcript of Records (TOR) are issued to them upon completion of the required Education Units.

Mode of Delivery

Learner-Facilitator interactions will be done online. Guide and Basis to Study (GBS) and e-Lectures are accessible weekly in the Virtual Classroom (VC). Access to VC will be issued to students upon enrollment.

Proof of Units Earned

  • Certificate of Completion signed by the NEU-VEM Executive Director
  • Official Transcript of Records (TOR) indicating Master of Arts in Education Major in Educational Management Units earned
